Located on the beautiful volcanic beach of Playa Jardin, the modern Gran Hotel Turquesa Playa is situated one kilometer from the center of Puerto De La Cruz. The 350 guestrooms have a light contemporary decor with co- ordinated floral fabrics and oak-wood furniture. Rooms open out on to balconies with patio furniture and panoramic views. Bathrooms are complete with bathtub/shower combos, bidets, bathrobes, hair dryers, and make-up mirrors. All rooms are equipped with cable television, direct-dial phones, safes and refrigerators. This is a halfboard property; however for 18 euros more, the price of the room includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and all alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
After the buffet breakfast, guests can while away the hours bronzing on the sun terraces with a drink from the poolside bar, or relax in the health club with a sauna. Guests can take a break from sunbathing to play a game of tennis, workout at the fitness center, or take a dip in the outdoor pool, which features a swim-up bar. If heading out sightseeing, multilingual staff at the 24- hour front desk and a concierge are on hand to exchange currency, and help guests explore all that the island has to offer. Children can take part in the supervised childcare activities and play in the kids' pool, games room and playground, before enjoying the mini-disco in the evenings. Guests can choose between the three themed restaurants; Argentinian, Italian, and traditional Canarian, all of which have a light contemporary setting with an informal atmosphere. After dinner, guests can choose between the five onsite bars, and enjoy the nightime entertainment and live shows. The Reina Sofia Tenerife South Airport is 60 kilometers from the hotel; taxis are available outside the main building.
