Returning after circa 39 years and still lovely!

We returned to this museum some 30 years after first encountering it and were not disappointed! It was as lovely as we remembered. There’s now a shop at the front and wc facilities but for 5€ each it was well worth it. Took us right back to when we first found it!
Great place to visit

It's calm little museum that has much to offer. All the elements are nicely preserved, you can really feel the spirit of this place. Wood elements are so beautiful! Our visit wasn't really long but it's one of the places that we'll remember very well.
Interesting historic building

Interesting visit to find out more information about the history of tenerife and the people that were living here in the previous centuries! The house itself it's a great example of how everything has been well preserved in the years and the shop at the end has interesting local and traditional products :)
Small but attractive property

La Casa de los balcones dates from the 17th century and the museum offers the chance to view inside an historic house in Tenerife which retains the living areas. Externally the house is impressive and after paying 5 euros per person you go into the central patio which is full of artifacts from the house history. You climb to the first floor and view living rooms and the kitchen through glass (fortunately there were few people in the property when we visited). Rooms are attractively presented and clearly preserve a style of life which it is interesting to view. Back down on the ground floor there is an exhibition of embroidery - apparently there is also a space where this is made - but it was closed when we visited (I guess because of Covid). What there is is very well done, but this is a small property and the visit (without audioguide) will not last more than 30 minutes.
A little taste of the past

A little taste of the past. 5 euros entrance free (with promise of glass of beer at end of tour). Rooms behind glass and barriers, laid out to emulate the past. Information limited. Clean, tidy, small exhibition. Not suitable for people with mobility challenges. Lace section closed off. Loos clean. No beer!
