What To Expect

Plaza Charco
In your free time in Puerto de la Cruz, you must visit Plaza del Charco.This square has always been one of the municipality's most popular spots. It is called the "Puddle Square" because of the large puddle of seawater that used to form in the middle of it. Although it has been revamped in recent years, it still has a fountain with a taro tree, Indian laurels and some impressive palm trees.

Lago Martianez
If you wish to spend your free time in the best swimming pool, visit "Lago Martianez".The Costa Martiánez municipal complex is the pride of Puerto de la Cruz and one of the most acclaimed examples of coastal transformation. A prestigious technical team led by the renowned artist César Manrique created this unique complex that blends into the traditional Canarian architecture, enhanced with touches of native flora and original sculptures.
Its artificial sea water lake contains 27,000 cubic metres of water, complemented by four other adult pools and three for children, each with a beautiful unique design. A wide range of bars, restaurants and refreshment stands add to the lively atmosphere and make it one of the most appealing complexes on the Island.

One of the most emblematic places in Puerto are the beaches, you can walk in your free time to enjoy the promenade. The Playa Jardín Beach Complex, which consists of Playa Jardín, Playa Chica and Punta Brava, is one of Puerto de la Cruz’s most emblematic attractions. Designed by the artist César Manrique, these beaches meld seamlessly into a beautiful environment filled with gardens boasting lush local plant life, waterfalls, and rocky caves.
